Owner/ Therapist

Yvette Pelikan is a graduate of Texas Tech University where she earned a degree in Human Development with a minor in Social Work. She holds a Masters degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Social Work. Yvette is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Registered Play Therapist, Certified Special Education and General Education teacher (Texas) and is completing her AutPlay certification. Yvette has worked in the field of Mental Health for 20 years, 15 years in education and 5 years in Behavior Health and private practice. Yvette has a private practice that serves children/teens ages 4-18. Yvette believes that every child has the right to feel loved, safe and heard. Through her experiences as a counselor, she has gained great insight into what helps children develop self-acceptance, self-awareness, self- regulation and many more essential qualities.

Therapist

Jennifer Iverson holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree with an emphasis in Psychology, Business and Rehabilitation from the University of North Texas and a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis. Jennifer also holds an Educational Specialist Degree in School Mental Health from the University of Missouri. Jennifer is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist in the State of Missouri. Jennifer has worked within the school setting as a School-Based Therapist and an Elementary and Middle School Counselor for over 11 years, specializing in individual and group therapy for children and adolescents. The heart of Jennifer's counseling approach is derived from Carl Roger's Person-Centered Theory. Jennifer centers her counseling sessions on providing empathy, unconditional positive regard, and maintaining an authentic approach. Jennifer believes that for a client's condition to improve, the counselor should be warm, genuine, and understanding, while incorporating therapeutic techniques that meet the client's individual needs.
